All-Star Camp: Fun, Sports, and Outdoor Thrills!

Monday: Team Sports Day! We’ll choose 2 sports options (i.e. volleyball, badminton, soccer) for the day at the 5-acre Preston Athletic Fields park & play on their large play structures 🏅, then end the day with a whole-camp game of capture-of-the-flag! 🏳️ ATTIRE: ATHLETIC CLOTHES & SHOES 👟 PACK: EXTRA SUNSCREEN & BALL CAP OR SUN HAT IF DESIRED Tuesday: Nature Day (with horses!) We'll walk on the Preston-Fall City Trail with the horses 🐴 and take turns horseback riding; then we'll arrive at a creek and we'll play with the clay that is naturally there in the creek, making things that can be taken home. We'll also be bringing a bucket and a net and we'll try our best to catch water salamanders and small fish at the creek! 🦎 We may also have a scavenger hunt for plants and insects. 🌱 ATTIRE: ATHLETIC OR HIKING CLOTHES & SHOES 👟 PACK: A HELMET (bike helmet is just fine) 🪖, AND EXTRA PAIR OF SHOES IDEALLY "WATER SHOES" OR SANDALS 🩴 Wednesday: Horseback Riding & Bounce House! We'll stay at the academy this day and we'll ride the horses 🐴 in their paddock here, there will be mini, practical lessons on horsemanship (how to pick a horses foot up, how to saddle up a horse, etc.) and we'll have a commercials-size bounce house 🎈 and even have an inflatable fort going! ATTIRE: LONG PANTS (ideally jeans, leggings are ok) & closed toe shoes 👢 (typically authentic shoes and pack "cowboy" boots if you have them). PACK: A HELMET FOR HORSEBACK RIDING (bike helmet is just fine) 🪖. Thursday: Cooking Day! We'll be walking to the Raging River Community Church 🍴 and making things we agree-upon/vote-for the day prior. Typically an entree and a dessert. 🍰 ATTIRE: ATHLETIC OR HIKING (we'll be walking to the church via walking trail) 👟 PACK: EXTRA PAIR OF CLOTHES (spills in the kitchen do happen) AND A SWEATER (it can get chilly in the basement of the church) 🧥. Friday: Water Fun Day + Bounce House + Movie with Popcorn! We'll be having a "water balloon palooza" here at the academy with refillable water balloons 💦!!! We'll also have sprinklers going and an outdoor bounce house 🎈. And we'll end the day with a movie (rated G or PG, typically on Netflix for Kids) 🎬 + popcorn 🍿! ATTIRE: ATHLETIC CLOTHES & SHOES 👟 PACK: SWIMSUIT 🩱, TOWEL 🏖️, A PAIR OF SANDALS 🩴 AND AN EXTRA PAIR OF CLOTHES OR A PAIR OR PAJAMAS TO CHANGE INTO FOR THE MOVIE + POPCORN 🍿.
