Courage, Discipline, Cooperation – What Do Military Camps Teach?

Are there military camps for children?

In Poland, there are camps and colonies that offer military-themed vacations for young people. These types of trips, often called military camps, are primarily aimed at younger individuals (usually from the age of 12). These camps combine physical activity with learning military values such as discipline, teamwork, responsibility, and perseverance. Participants in these camps take part in activities related to tactics, orientation, survival skills, and also practice drills, learn shooting (with air rifles or virtual simulators), first aid, and teamwork. Although they are inspired by military themes, they are recreational and educational in nature, with an emphasis on personal development, physical activity, and leadership skills. These trips are usually organized by companies specializing in youth camps, rather than the military. It’s important to emphasize that these camps are tailored to the participants' age and prioritize safety, offering programs that do not focus on military training but rather on developing skills that are useful in everyday life.
