How can you get financial assistance for your child’s summer camp in 2026?

So far we have information for parents who are working in Poland.

Source 1: ZFŚS — Company Social Benefits Fund

If your employer has more than 50 employees, they are required to maintain a ZFŚS. Employees can apply for subsidies for vacations, summer camps, and camps for children.

How the ZFŚS works:

- The employer sets aside funds each month proportional to the number of employees
- The social committee decides on the allocation of benefits, usually based on per-person family income
- The lower the income, the higher the subsidy (income-based criterion)

How much can you get from the ZFŚS?
The regulations do not specify a minimum amount; this is determined by the employer’s fund regulations. In practice:
- Small companies: PLN 300–600 per child
- Large corporations: PLN 800–1,500 per child

Step-by-step guide — how to apply for ZFŚS funds:

1. Ask the HR department for the ZFŚS regulations and an application form
2. Fill out the application (usually includes: child’s information, vacation dates, cost, income statement)
3. Submit the application before the child’s departure or within 30 days of their return (depending on the regulations)
4. The social committee usually reviews the application within 14–30 days
5. Funds are paid into your account or deducted from your salary to cover the cost

Benefits from the Company Social Benefits Fund (ZFŚS) up to PLN 1,000 per year are exempt from income tax (as of 2026). Above this amount, the employer withholds tax.

Source 2: Municipal and City Programs

Many municipalities offer subsidies for summer camps for children from low-income or large families.

Where to look:
- Municipal Social Welfare Center (MOPS) or Municipal Social Welfare Office (OPS)
- Municipal office / family benefits office
- Your municipality’s website — “Family Support” or “Benefits” tab

Typical municipal programs:
- Subsidies for summer camps for children from large families (Large Family Card)
- Free day camps for children from families with incomes below the threshold
- Preventive programs (e.g., “Summer in the City”) — especially in large cities

Source 3: Large Family Card

Holders of the Large Family Card (families with 3 or more children) can receive discounts from selected summer camp organizers.

- The discount depends on the camp organizer — it is usually 100–200 PLN
- List of card partners:
- The card covers children up to 18 years of age (or 25 if they are still in school)

Can multiple funding sources be combined?

Yes — you can combine different sources, provided the terms and conditions of the individual programs do not prohibit it.

Example:
A parent employed by a large company sends their child to a 10-day summer camp costing 2,800 PLN:

Employer’s Social Benefits Fund (ZFŚS) | 900 PLN
Large Family Card | 140 PLN

What documents to prepare
- A VAT invoice or receipt from the camp organizer (including the tax ID number, date, and amount)
- Proof of payment or bank transfer
- Registration form or confirmation of the child’s participation
- Application submitted on the appropriate form (each source has its own)
- Income statement (Company Social Benefits Fund, municipality)
