Children eagerly await winter break, while parents approach it with a bit of trepidation. Firstly, because they can't always take time off during this period, and secondly, because they need to find ways to keep their children entertained, so they don't spend all day staring at TV, smartphone, and tablet screens. How to plan a successful winter break when the cost of all services is continuously rising, and the snow might fall at a different time?

How Can You Spend Winter Break?

Thinking about a family trip to the mountains? Great! Learning to ski, sleigh rides, campfires, animations – the organizer will surely make every effort to ensure you don't get bored.

Planning to send your child to a camp or winter day camp? Excellent idea! It's an opportunity for your child not only to deepen or develop their talent but also to make new friends and spend time with peers.

Not planning any trips? That's okay too – not being able to travel doesn't mean the break will be boring. Fortunately, with children, it doesn't take much to have fun.

How to Spend Winter Break at Home?

There are plenty of ways to keep your child occupied. Dear parents, here are our suggestions to help you plan a varied schedule for their free time:

  • Check out local centers and clubs for children's activities – they might offer interesting art, music, dance, or sports classes.
  • Go on a joint excursion – rediscover interesting places in the area – the nearby forest, lake surroundings, or the nearest town look completely different in winter.
  • Ensure your child stays active during the winter break – if there's snow, go sledding, build a snowman, or organize a snowball fight. If there's a hill nearby, you can go sledding, skiing, or anything else. If there's no snow, go biking, scootering, play yard games, or go for a long walk.
  • Behind on movie sessions? A trip to the cinema or watching a cartoon or movie at home can also be fun.
  • Fill the time spent at home with cooking together, playing board games, and engaging in creative activities. After all, breaks are also for adults to relax.
