Performance Running Camp 🏃‍♂️ | the leading running residential experience for county and county aspiring athletes 🌟 PRC is a 3-night residential middle distance running camp 🏕️ for children and teenagers aged 10-16 years 👦👧. The programme offers county and county aspiring athletes the opportunity to train for 3 days with UKA qualified coaches 🏅. The course covers technique 🏃‍♀️, speed agility and quickness (SAQ) ⚡, sports nutrition 🥗, race preparation 🏁 and injury prevention 🚑. We welcome triathletes 🚴‍♂️🏊‍♂️ onto the course, where we offer running-based transition sessions with a focus on the switch from the quadricep muscle use (bike) 🚴 to gluteal activation on the run 🏃‍♀️.
Event programme
Morning: Wake-up Run 🏃‍♀️ & Stretch: Start the day with a light run and stretching session to get the body moving. Track Session 🏟️: A focused track workout, including drills to improve running technique. Nutrition Workshop 🥗: Learn how nutrition impacts performance, with expert advice on fueling for training and competition. Afternoon: Track Session 🏃‍♂️: A more intense session focusing on speed, endurance, and race strategies. Strength & Conditioning 💪: Exercises designed to enhance physical strength and prevent injuries. Pre-hab & Recovery 🚑: Post-training recovery methods, including swimming pool-based recovery exercises. Evening: Evening Entertainment 🎉: Fun group activities to unwind and bond with fellow campers. Team-building Activities 🤝: Encourage camaraderie and teamwork. Specialist Workshops: Pre-hab & Injury Prevention 🚑: Learn techniques to stay injury-free and optimize recovery. The Success Iceberg ❄️: Understand the dedication, discipline, and sacrifices required to succeed as an athlete. 3 meals a day and fresh fruit/snacks If your child has any allergies or dietary requirements please communicate these to us during the booking process. We pass this information on to the school so that everyone is catered for during each buffet meal.

    Additional information

    On camp we have a first aid qualified staff member who is trained to deal with accidents and illnesses. Should your child suffer a serious injury or illness you will be contacted immediately. All accidents are reported using our Proactive health and safety management platform, which allows staff to report all incidents to head office. Please ensure you make us aware of any medical conditions or relevant medication prior to camp.
