Solina lake. How to plan your trip?

Getting there and staying overnight
The first planning criterion is to determine how to get to Lake Solina. Details can be found at website among other places.
It is located about 80 kilometers southeast of Rzeszow, and you can stay overnight in several nearby towns.
One of them is Solina - it's the main tourist destination in the area located right on the lake. There you will find guesthouses, cottages and various types of accommodation, but you can also successfully spend the night in a tent at one of the campgrounds.
Another option is to stay overnight in Polanczyk. The resort, located on the western shore of the lake, is known for its healing waters, sanatoriums and resorts, and is a somewhat quieter place than the touristy Solina.
You can also check out accommodations in Myczkow, a quiet village located about 2 km from Polanczyk. You'll like it if you want your accommodation to be out of the way - in peace and quiet.
Main tourist attractions
When it comes to the region and the attractions in the Bieszczady Mountains, the Solina dam certainly needs to be mentioned. It is the largest of its kind in Poland and is incredibly impressive. You can take a walk along the dam's crest and see magnificent views covering the entire lake and surrounding hills.
Another interesting attraction is the gondola railroad connecting Solina with Mt. Jawor (742 m). The train ride itself already offers great views of the Bieszczady Mountains, and you can get an even better look at them while standing on Jawor itself.
There are also plenty of hiking and biking trails around Lake Solina, so fans of trekking and two-wheeling will not be disappointed. In addition, children will love the Mystery Solina amusement park, where they will learn legends and interesting facts about the region in an interactive form.
The lake also offers boat cruises, especially attractive in the summer season, when the weather is nice.
Water activities
The beaches in Solina and Polanczyk are prepared so that tourists can enjoy all the charms of summer. So you can rent canoes, pedal boats there, in addition, you will find guarded bathing beaches with infrastructure and, for example, volleyball courts.
Solina Lake is also loved by sailors. In Polanczyk and Solina you will find sailing schools, and you can also charter a boat or yacht. In addition, you can also take scuba diving lessons in the area or... go fishing.
You'll have to apply for a permit and buy an entry fee, but in return you can catch such fish as perch, zander and pike, which Lake Solinskie abounds in.
The area is also rich in restaurants, bars and other meeting places, as well as souvenir stands and everything that makes a place attractive to tourists. It is heavily trafficked in the high summer season, so it is worth remembering to book your accommodation well in advance. Have a great holiday!
